Setting up DCL33AS/M PID Controller as a PWM Controller for SSR
In this article we will give instrruction on how to setup any PID Controller to be PWM Controller which can replace Siemens or other well known brands.
Configuration:
Initial Setup:
Step 1:
Depress MODE ENTER & Hidden blank tactile switch keys underneath MODE ENTER key simultaneously to change input type to 0 to 10V.
Refer Section 5.5 - Aux function setting mode
Set Scaling high limit to = 100 [factory default setting LH= 9999]
Set Scaling low limit setting to = 0 [factory default setting LL = (minus) -1999]
Change Control mode to = Cooling [factory default setting Heat]
Step 2 :
PWM setup. Select Sub Setting Mode [Press ENTER MODE Key while holding down UP key]
Refer Section 5.1 operation flowchart - Out Proportinal cycle
Proportional band =100% [factory default setting P=2.5%]
Set Integral to = 0 Secs [factory default setting I=200 secs]
Set Derivative to = 0 Secs [factory default setting d=50 secs]
Reduce Cycle time to = 1 Secs [factory default setting C=3 secs]
Test 0 to 10V input range (0-100% Display output) by using a variable output bench DC power supply.
Step 3 :
Lock controller to prevent user adjustment (equivalent to no keyboard user operation)
Press DOWN key while holding down ENTER MODE key - Use UP arrow key to select LOC1 to lock keypad.
To unlock again
Press DOWN key while holding down ENTER MODE key - Use UP arrow key select "Blank" to unlock keypad.
